The Hebron Preservation Society has been the heart of Hebron, NY for 50 years - preserving our history, celebrating our community, and helping build a vibrant future for one of Washington County's most storied towns. Our work focuses on four areas:
Historic Preservation: We own and steward an 1845 Schoolhouse and work to protect the historical buildings that give Hebron its character.Events: With six to eight speaker programs per year, tours of historic buildings, and collaborations on major events like Hebron day and our Barn Dance, we bring the community together.
Publications: Our book and digitized archives make Hebron’s history accessible to residents, researchers, and families tracing their roots.
Community Building: As fiscal sponsor for Hebron Community Vision, we’re helping implement a bold plan for Hebron’s future. We also serve as fiscal sponsor for The Hebron Community Center, which aims to turn the former East Hebron Church into a vibrant community center for Hebron.
